Instead of paying a large electricity bill every month, many homeowners are converting their homes to use solar power. You may have dismissed this due to the fact that most solar systems that you see for sale are prohibitively expensive, but there is a way to get cheap solar power for your home without buying these systems. Build them yourself.

A solar collection system can be build in your back yard or garage, totally by you. One of the best things is the fact that all the parts and supplies are available in your local area from your local hardware store or home improvement warehouse store. This means not having to order custom and expensive parts. Also all of the parts and supplies required to build one solar collection system can be purchased for less than two hundred dollars. This is about what the average home spends on an electric bill every month.
Another benefit is the fact that you can build as many of the units as you have the time, supplies, and patients to make, and link them together to produce even more electrical power for your homes use. Some people have gone as far as to install banks of batteries to store the excess power produced by their solar systems, and use that power during the nighttime when the sun is not shining.

This leaves them will no dependence on the electric company, and some even have their residential electrical service disconnected, and use only cheap solar power that they produce.

Affordable residential solar power . Have you been thinking about that lately? If you haven’t, you should and here is why. Affordable solar is now within your reach but there is more.

The spikes in energy costs recently aren’t going to somehow mystically go away. We are rapidly getting close to critical mass when it comes to our energy needs. Prices will only escalate. How much are you willing to pay?

Also consider the environment. Time has come to face the music. This planet is getting dirtier by the day now that nearly all the 3rd world countries are coming of age and the thirst for oil is becoming relentless. We are close to using more oil than we produce.

A couple of good reasons for sure but the best one I can offer is good old fashioned INDEPENDENCE! Not just as your nation needs to be energy independent but you need to be as well and now you can be!

With the advance in technology we are seeing affordable solar power being developed to power every item in your home. Residential solar power kits can now provide that kind of versatility.

These new affordable solar power kits are not only very easy to install but maintenance is a snap. Prices which were once out of reach for most people and now at record lows and are becoming more affordable by the day.

How exactly do these solar power kits work and what is involved? Will the results they provide benefit my bottom line energy costs? Advanced technology has removed many mysteries so lets explore the answers to these questions.

Residential solar kits contain various modules that when put together can power everything in your house. The main source of conversion is through what is known as photovoltaic cells otherwise known as photoelectric cells.

These cells are squeezed into solar panels and placed as such so that they can take advantage of as much direct sunlight as possible.

Energy from the sun is then converted into electricity which is then stored in deep cycle marine batteries and then can be further converted into AC power or used as straight DC power by use of power converters.

How to Produce Electricity at Home

Depending on the number of panels you install, it is possible to power up your entire house and get rid of the electric bill forever! Not only that but excess power can be pushed back out into the grid and sold back to the power company.

You can also install solar water heating modules and also what is called a solar furnace but I have addressed those in other articles. Even things in your yard can now be all on solar energy.

Many new companies are now producing affordable solar power kits employing the latest technology which allows you to completely fulfill your residential solar power needs as soon as today.

The cost saving you will experience with be seen immediately and these systems can pay for themselves rapidly over time. Detailed plans for adding these affordable solar power systems to you home can be found on the web if you know where to look. Installation is easy and energy independence can finally be yours!

Alternative energy solar power occupies an unusually large piece of the stage in this presidential campaign because of gas prices, the Iraq war, and global warming, among other things. Just over a month ago, the government banned new solar-energy projects on public land. The reason: it needed two years to evaluate their environmental impact. Then last week it lifted the ban. The reason: public outrage.

Environmental studies should be conducted to determine the environmental impact of any large scale solar project — the laying of transmission lines, the reclamation of water used in solar thermal power generation, and other issues are important. But to put a complete freeze on any new solar power generation project across the board for two years is downright short sighted. Especially at a time when the solar power generation industry is just now starting to come up to speed. […]

Coal-fired plant applications are on the rise even though coal-fired power plants are a key source of acid rain, the deforestation of the Great Smoky Mtn National Park, global warm[ing], rising carbon dioxide…devastation to communities throughout West Virginia, acid and other chemicals leeching into ground water…. But there are no moratoriums on new coal-fired power plant applications.

There is plenty of marginal agricultural land in the states proposed for public land development that is not under profitable production and is already worthless to wildlife. Alternative energy solar power initiatives that promote economic incentives on these private lands would give rural communities and farmers much needed stimulus by promoting private lease of private lands for renewable development. Democrats/Republicans pushing this approach would enjoy rural/ag voters’ support by bringing Westerners green projects as alternative to the tired old-Republican approach of bringing home the same extractive industrial bacon. Unlike subsidized livestock grazing, logging, etc. these solutions provide sustainable economies and ecologies into the future. […]

Put the solar panels and wind generators where they belong – on the rooftops and on private lands amidst the communities that use the energy.

As a result of rising electricity prices and the new U.S. business energy tax credit, commercial solar power systems have become a cost-effective choice for businesses across the country. You can reduce your energy costs, add immediate value to your business, and produce your own clean power by installing a commercial solar power system.

How Does the Sun Produce Electricity

Commercial Solar Power Benefits

» Hedge against the rising cost of electricity – avoid the rising costs of electric power from utility companies

» Obtain tax credits and rebates – the new U.S. business energy tax credit covers 30% of the cost of a commercial solar electric system

» Sell power back to the utility – in many states, you can sell your excess power back into the grid

» Generate clean power – power from the sun produces no pollution or emissions

» Gain power independence – rely completely on your own generating capacity, and not on a utility company

» Ensure reliable power – enjoy uninterrupted power to your business during power outages

» Demonstrate your environmental responsibility – show your customers and the media that you are focused on socially repsonsible business practices

Introduction

Solar installation offers businesses the ability to generate affordable, clean electricity to meet their own needs. Solar electric systems are comprised of photovoltaic (PV) cells, devices that convert sunlight energy directly into electricity, without producing any harmful emissions or pollution.

PV systems are being installed by businesses who already have grid-supplied electricity but want to reduce and eventually eliminate their energy costs. PV systems can also offer the least expensive, most viable option for applications that are located away from the power grid.

In use today on homes and offices around the country, as well as on remote industrial facilities, street lights, security gates and outdoor signs, commercial solar power systems are gaining popularity in the U.S. and around the world as traditional energy costs continue to rise.

Help Make The World A Cooler Place

The environmental benefits of solar power are indisputable. Electricity generated from the sun produces no harmful emissions or pollutants. By installing a solar power system, you can directly contribute to the repair and preservation of the environment by producing your own clean power.

How Solar Power Systems Function

A solar electric system captures the bountiful energy of the sun, and makes that energy available around the clock. A solar panel, made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, transforms light photons into electricity. That electricity is then stored in a large battery for use whenever it is needed. The simplicity of solar power systems ensures that they will be extremely reliable and low maintenance.

How PV Cells Function

PV cells are made up of at least two layers of semiconductor material. One layer has a positive charge, the other a negative charge. When sunlight enters the cell, some of the photons from the sunlight are absorbed by the semiconductor material, freeing electrons from the cell’s negative layer to flow through an external circuit and back into the positive layer. This flow of electrons produces an electric current.

To increase power output, several individual PV cells are wired together and sealed in a weatherproof housing referred to as a module, or solar panel. Modules are then wired together in a PV array to achieve the desired voltage and current.

If you are currently looking into how to start a solar power business, you’re in luck! the information contained in this brief review is going to change everything you know about incorporating solar electricity into your life. If you heard that you could get your hands on state-of-the-art solution which gives you a simple and effective way to use the sun’s power to create electricity for less money than you think possible – surely you’d want the facts? Keep reading the following article.

In the recent past, plugging your home to an independent solar power supply system was viewed by many as an idealistic, uncertain, and overly costly project, however, some thought of it as a long-term goal. Nowadays, people frequently perform Internet searches for how to start a solar power business, which confirms that curiosity about green technology has grown, and with it the quantity of people looking for ways to get started in this exciting field.

I am pleased to announce the great news that the solar energy dream has become reachable and inexpensive enough for everyone to be able to take advantage of unlimited power at no-charge (unless someone finds a way to charge for sunshine)! Consumers have long had the option of this green energy, although it remained out of reach for the majority due to the price; the only real option was to continue our unhappy association with the power company, wasting hard-earned money on a basic need.

As you continue to further check about how to start a solar power business, You have to hear the exciting news that just recently a respected professional in the field of green technology is willing to share his knowledge on how to construct solar panels and a solar energy system of your very own, without the need for any expensive or hard to find materials. I discovered that there are in fact a large quantity of people in the u.s. and around the world, who already use solar power to generate their own supply of clean, green energy, and in addition, actually make money by selling their extra power to the electric company. Since it’s both cost-effective and environmentally-friendly, personal clean energy is bringing major – and long-awaited – changes to the field of energy and electricity.

Would you like to build your own off grid solar power system for home to run your house with solar energy? It is a great alternative since sun energy is free and abundant enough to run our houses all year round. This great source of power has been under utilized and is something that definitely needs to be changed.

1. Why Are People Not Building Solar Panels and Other Systems to Harness the Sun’s Energy?

The main problem is that harnessing solar energy requires a system to be setup, and this used to cost thousands of dollars. However, it is now possible to build them for less than $200 as I have found out myself.

2. Where Can You Learn How to Build Off Grid Solar Power System for your Home?

I started searching for ways on the Internet and discovered that there were many guides for sale that claimed they could teach you how to make windmills and solar panels for less than $200. I decided to buy one and found that there was no good information inside.
Then, I started reading reviews from people who have successfully built these devices and they recommended the best guides to me. Once I downloaded and followed the plans in the better guide, I managed to find all the materials I needed like plywood and screws fast and was able to assemble everything in just a few days.

3. Making Your Own Off Grid Solar Power System for House

If you are still wondering whether to build a renewable energy system at home, I highly recommend you to go ahead and try it out. It is very simple even for people without any construction experience. The illustrations and diagrams make the whole building process very idiot-proof.

Photovoltaic electric panels are composed mainly of silicon. Silicon is used because it naturally releases electrons (electrical energy) when hit with a photon (light source). The trick for photovoltaic manufacturers was to find a way to “catch” the displaced electrons and use their energy.

Most solar electric panels consist of a clear protective top layer, two layers of specially treated silicon with collecting circuitry attached to the top layer, and a tough polymer backing layer. From there, the panel can be framed (adds durability) or unframed (reduces weight), and in some cases the layers are even comprised of flexible materials. The vast majority of PV panels work in the same way:

The top layer of silicon is treated to give it an electrically negative character. The back layer is treated to make it electrically positive. Due to these treatments and added elements, the top layer is rich in electrons, and the back layer is relatively electron poor. These two layers are separated by an electrically charged junction, which allows electrons to flow from back to front, but not the other way around.

Photovoltaic solar power is created when light strikes the PV panel, some of the photons are absorbed by the silicon layers. The photons cause electrons to be released from the silicon crystal, and those electrons “wander around” looking for somewhere to attach themselves. Some of the electrons are freed from the bottom layer, and they find their way through the junction into the top (electron rich) layer. Some of the electrons are freed from the top layer, and since they cannot travel to the bottom (electron poor) layer, and are being “crowded” by new electrons from the bottom layer, they are left free to be collected by electrical contacts on the surface of the top layer.

Those collected electrons are routed through an external circuit, providing photovoltaic solar power to the electrical system attached to the panels. The circuit is completed when the electrons return to the bottom layer of the PV panel, find “resting spots” in the electron poor bottom layer, and wait for the next photon to shake them loose.

There are no moving parts in the PV panel, so maintenance is limited to keeping the junction boxes and wiring free from moisture and corrosion, and keeping the surface of the panel clean enough to allow light through to the silicon layers.

If you are in the process of researching the subject of solar as a backup power source , well, you’ve come to the right place. this short article is going to shine some light on the subject of putting the sun to work for you. What if you were to learn that the technology now exists which makes it possible to transform the vast power of the sun into useable electric power for an extremely low cost – you’d be curious, wouldn’t you? Keep reading the following article.

In the recent past, taking the leap into solar-generated power for your home electricity was simply too expensive for most families to consider investing in, but some saw it as the ideal solution. Web searches for information on solar as a backup power source have become common, which demonstrates the fact that there is an increasing number of people with questions about what is possible in this electrifying new area.

I am pleased to announce the great news that the time to easily ‘solarize’ your home is here and now and as the technology has improved, the price has dropped, so anyone can have as much free electricity as you need, and then some. This ‘green’ energy source has been used to a limited extent for years, but for most of us, the cost kept us from getting on board; the only real option was to continue our unhappy association with the power company, all the while paying high prices for an essential need.

Before you continue your research on solar as a backup power source , You have to hear the exciting news that just recently a leading specialist in renewable energy found a secret way that enables you to fabricate solar panels and start reaping the cost-effective and earth-friendly rewards of solar power with no equipment other than can be found at the local hardware store. I also learned that there were a large number of people in the u.s. and globally who already enjoy the benefits of solar power, to not only generate enough electricity for their own use, but additionally, the electric company buys power from users who generate more than they need. Because it’s such a snap to use, the revolutionary solution is undoubtedly going to ‘shake’ the whole energy ‘machine.

Stop paying your power bills: Make a homemade solar power generator by using DIY system. You can get all the help and guide to make a homemade solar cell power system. Most of the times we know that a solution exists to cut down on our bills but we lack the know how to fabricate our own Homemade DIY energy systems. I have tried one homemade solar power guide available online and I must say at first I bungled things up so bad I thought the manual was useless. I had rushed to get all the materials I could without regard to the quality.

The earth4energy manual is a simple online guide on how to easily make your own homemade solar cells power your house exclusively or as a highbred on solar and the mains. I homemade solar power instructions manual sometimes back and embarked on making my first DIY system . As I said above, my first trial was a disaster. But on trying it again it worked fine. I attribute my first failure to my absolute lack of any technological skills whatsoever. I bet guys with better hands-on inclination could do a better job than I did.

The online solar power at home manual is made such that you can follow the easy instructions in a step by step process. It even tells you the important areas that you are likely to go wrong thereby avoiding some obvious mistakes on mounting and installing. Its complete with well illustrated photos on all the parts required to assemble a complete home solar power kit.

Earth4energy instructions manual is actually a full green energy system guide that also shows you how to simply install wind power generator and turbine at home. Using this e-book, you can easily eliminate all your monthly bills using both solar and wind power generators. You will read of folks that have reduced their yearly power bills by more than $5000. That means cutting down your power bills by more than $400 every month. This is money that you can free from your recurrent home budget and contribute to paying your car loan faster.
This home power guide is available online and is easy to download and install. You will easily download the e-book within 5 minutes and it doesn’t matter what time of day or night it is. The e-book is available 24 hours for download once you have paid the cheap price. For now the e-book is being offered at an introductory price of less than $50 but this may go up as it has generated a lot of interest. I guess everybody is feeling the pinch of paying hundreds of dollars in heating costs, electricity, water heating, cooking etc

The biggest advantage of using these manual to get free green energy at home is that, once installed, you can even apply for green energy tax credits and end up paying less tax for using renewable energy. With the new Obama administration, it looks like people will even get higher tax breaks from using green technologies at home.
